If you’ve ever thought about the relationship between blockchain and blogging, you’re not alone. In fact, there are a number of examples. These examples include Bitcolumnist, ConsenSys Media, Breaker Mag, and Espeo Blockchain. While they all have unique aspects, the two can share similar traits and approaches to content marketing.
Bitcolumnist
There are a few ways to get involved in the Blockchain and blogging community. One of the most popular ways is by contributing to a popular crypto blog. These websites can be extremely beneficial if you’re new to crypto or want to learn more about this growing industry. For example, you can start a blog on Steemit called CryptoPotato and share your content with the community. You can also share your content by interacting with other bloggers, which can increase your exposure and get you more followers.

Another option is to write for a blockchain-specific blog. There are many blogs that focus on this topic, but one of the most well-known is Hackernoon. This blog pivoted into the decentralization space early and has since become the de facto blog for the industry. Today, nearly half of its posts are about blockchain and its applications. It also recently acquired the Crypto Disrupted podcast.
ConsenSys Media
ConsenSys is an application development company that builds decentralized applications on the Ethereum blockchain and has an ecosystem of more than 50 companies. The company was founded by Joseph Lubin, who also co-founded the Ethereum blockchain. Within six months of starting up, ConsenSys grew from six employees to over a thousand. To grow the company’s brand awareness, ConsenSys needed to engage the media and the public to learn more about the blockchain. The company’s mission is to empower individuals, businesses, and organizations to build the decentralized future.
ConsenSys has partnered with Civil, a decentralized newsmaking platform, and has committed $2.5 million to help it launch in 2019. Civil will allow journalists to engage with readers directly and create a personal relationship.
Espeo Blockchain
For eight years, Espeo Software has been building leading products and blockchain solutions. Its strengths include JavaScript, PHP, and blockchain development. It has a dedicated sister company, Espeo Blockchain, and boasts clients like Indeema and Solita. Among other blockchain technologies, Espeo Blockchain enables businesses to automate business processes using blockchain technology, such as Hyperledger Fabric.
Breaker Mag
BreakerMag is a website that celebrates long-form articles on blockchain and blogging. Launched a year ago, the publication carved out a niche for itself as a contrarian voice in the crypto media. Its writers are award-winning, experienced journalists who dive into the industry and its culture.
The site is a great place to stay up to date with the latest news in the blockchain industry. The publication’s writers contacted representatives of various online resources and discussed their projects with them. However, the editors did not consider whether the projects they promoted were legitimate or posed a security risk for users. In addition, they didn’t provide reliable data about where to find trustworthy publishers. This could potentially lead to victims, and the industry as a whole.
